So there should be three new EMIs from this year, afaik they all should be able to provide IBAN accounts and euro banking - which doesn't mean they'll do it.
Licence is the same as Mistertango.

The first electronic money institution licence was granted to UAB Verse Payments Lithuania, a subsidiary of the US company Verse Technologies, Inc. The company plans to carry out activities in Lithuania and other EU Member States and offer its customers a variety of digital financial services.

The second electronic money institution licence was issued to Wittix UAB, which plans to offer Lithuanian consumers a new mobile payments app and an e-wallet, allowing them to make payments with their smartphones. The only beneficial owner of the company is an Israeli citizen.

The third electronic money institution licence was granted to Silvergate LT. The company aims to consolidate its position as a universal payment service provider, offering an integrated payment service solution for merchants. The only beneficial owner of the company is a citizen of Sakartvelo who has a residence permit in Cyprus.

Is this silvergate linked to the US bank by the same name?

Probably not, seems to be related to "Axios Holding" (Axios Holding - What We Do) and some other Cyprus companies.

The other two already seem active, no idea what Silvergate is doing.

what a way to write "Georgian" -- I wonder why they're trying so hard to hide that he's from Georgia?

quick! someone buy it and blackmail him for us$1000 😵 😱

Not necessarily trying to hide, you can confuse Georgia with Georgia (US state with Atlanta being the capital), so it is better to use the true original name rather than the Russian-enforced one.

Anyways that is not the question, the question is whether these new EMIs can be used for something useful.

A space to watch for sure

I was in contact with wittix a few months ago but they never replied to me

We know wittix
Sepa payment's mostly for low risk
Online selfie and strict compliance. Not very different from many others in Lithuania in terms of tariffs.

Agree, Wittix is not new but has been around for some time. I think there are threads about them on our forum too!

I think big wallet is aimed at low risk clients for the time being unless anybody has any other experience with them

Quick search shows there are two companies called Silvergate with same/similar ownership: Silvergate LT UAB in Lithuania (an EMI) and Silvergte Technologies Limited in Cyprus (a payment institution/PSP).

Silvergate LT UAB: BigWallet
Silvergate Technologies Limited: BigWallet Payments | Online Payment Gateway | We Are Here For You.

The registered address of Big W Payments (Silvergate Technologies) is Antheon 2, Monovoliko 4, Kato Polemidia, 4151 Limassol, Cyprus. That address is also used by several other companies including Naspay (Naspay) which shows connections to unlicensed forex brokers if you dig a bit deeper.

Looks like Silvergate might be a front for Naspay to obfuscate or pad all the high risk volume. I'd be careful...
