    Haven't done it myself yet but did inquire. The 'official' way is to pay an agent for a Business Visa with work permit. With that you can open a bank account at every bank. The downside is you have to spend 10-14 days in Laos until you get your passport and permit back.

    Yes and when I requested inward remittance instructions, it seemed to go via a Singapore company and the account number required as reference. Or one could top up via Huione Pay, which allows for crypto funding. Although they (Huione) seem to have lost their banking license in Cambodia...

    The basic setup can be done through the app. But to get higher level verified status without restrictions, I got someone assigned via their Telegram channel. She was very helpful. Everything was done via Telegram. It's not a full fledged bank like Acleda but can be very useful.
