It is very likely. However, they are not consistently enforcing the 3-year rule, so it is not 100% that your residency will be canceled. Since you missed the 3-year rule three times, I would say 80-90%. If you want, you can reach out to me in the DM. Maybe I can figure out your status in Paraguay.

In your position, I would contact a more prominent law firm that specializes in more countries in Latin America, like FERRERE, for example. They likely have good local connections.

    Changing tax residency

As Daniels suggested, if you stay to live in the country of your current tax residency, you have to pay taxes there as well. In the case of Paraguay, I add that permanent residents must visit the country at least once every three years; otherwise, they risk losing their residency.

Of course they do open accounts, even for temporary residents. It's LATAM. There are no rules written in the stone of what can and can't be done. Everything depends on who you talk to. How you talk. Etc.

That's IRP - personal income tax. As an independent with RUC number you should charge IVA (vat/sales tax) if you make money within the territory, and pay it every month, if you have more income than expenses.

A lot of crypto-foreigners here live bankless. There are no problems. I would only argue that they miss out on a lot of those credit card discounts. 25% on groceries, 30% here, 40% there””it adds up. I don't know about the hacking. To me, it seems pretty much the same as EU banks (tokens...)...

Basic accounts are easy (1k monthly limit) = no credit cards, no international transfers, and no USD accounts. For real banking, you need contacts or economic history in the country. 40% UENO discounts on credit cards have been quite tasty lately tho :-D

    Good time to long Turkey?

I think those of you interested in investing in Turkey could benefit from looking into Mohnish Pabrai. He has been putting money in some public companies there for a while and has given many public lectures in which he mentions Turkey.

Please, others, correct me if I am wrong. If you want to live in Thailand (dtv will do that). For your business purposes, can you get residency in a different place? Argentina, as you mentioned, Uruguay, and Paraguay; in another thread, I read that the Philippines have a similar kind of program...

Sent you the contact info. I'm based in Asuncion. See you soon!! The real estate is still cheap, even in regional terms. Even tho, Asuncion is not Buenos Aires, and never will be. Not all of it is organic growth. A lot of ml, desperate Argentinians parking money, Brazilians hiding money. But...

Maybe Paraguay could be of interest to you as well. It does fit some of your points. Depending on how big a chunk of that 20 - 30 M you would decide to put, building your small edificio is an option. We are orchestrating that now for some investors. I believe there is one under-served space in...

    A residence in Paraguay

I think many residency providers (especially on Twitter) created a fantasy world for themselves and their followers that the whole of Europe is moving to Paraguay. We are talking 3000 people/year, at best, getting residencies. The number includes the US and Russia. Many of these people are...
