also just locking an account is a very bad behavior. Normal banks dont do this.
I must conclude these becoming rarer and rarer by the day as blatant stealing gets normalized thru society.

You know why they need to perform liveness checks frequently? That's why:

You opened the account and all was good. Until you walked around on OCT and @nurredon told the bank monkeys that "Schrödinger's guy" owns some account. They checked Wikipedia and figures out, you are probably already half dead. At least!
 
I didn't tell anything to anyone. Not sure why all this fuzz and liveness checks
 
It's completely amateurish and an unnecessary service that you should stay far away from, unless you want to support them with small amounts that end up frozen until they return from vacation.

The vacation is probably paid for with all the frozen funds.

fair enough, but it seems like they have some advanced quantum Ai system to be able to match you here and on altery? 😉

Whoa... that never happens. I will give Altery a try now as they actually have customer service.

Shame it is FCA authorised as I try and stay away from UK EMIs and UK tax reporting. Hmmmmmmmm.

This speaks in every way in favor of this EMI, and maybe it should be tried. Or, as @Martin Everson says, they are simply terrified of negative promotion like what has been happening in this thread so far!

The fact they admitted to a mistake and did the right thing by the customer is not a bad sign.
