Probably just a couple of countries are worse than Spain in terms of taxes. El Salvador is not one of those.

I can't compare as I didn't live in any of them but from stories I heard and friends of mine that I know that are involved in lawsuits with the tax office in Spain (regular people, not even businessowners) I can say I would never live in Spain as a tax resident
So if spain is this way is it fair to assume all of western europe is the same? What about japan?Silvio said:

If one has to make a generic assumption, this is a safe one - albeit there are Western European countries that are somewhat better than Spain (which doesn't make them any good in absolute terms).santosg said:

Then would it be fair to say that tax laws are lax in many third world countries then since japan and western europe are all first world nations?
