People have asked couple of times already for this post to be locked or deleted. I also think that it was turned into a typical social media type of post by now. I'm surprised by the amount of new accounts posting Ukrainian propaganda, I wouldn't be surprised that they are paid for it. It used to be only Ukrainian like John Spectre and couple of Polish guys spewing Ukrainian propaganda.

That article really struck me as being in line with Western thinking. "What's the point of Asean?", other than it being significantly more popular in member countries than the EU is. Washington and Brussels still see a World where you're on their side or you're bad.
There is something odd about the Ukraine invasion and the Taiwan exercises. As if the killings and human displacements are horrible side effects of something inevitable.
It's almost as if there is a wider goal, which the West can't see because they are so focused on current events and electoral cycles. China certainly and Russia probably, are looking at a longer timescale. If you were an elected leader of a non-OECD country and responsible for the wellbeing of your citizens, you might not be looking West any more.
