I'm pretty sure some would like to tax "Satoshi Nakamoto" or sue him for various reasons, though the guy who created bitcoin and all this mess, doesn't even bother about legal/compliance bs, because he was smart enough to never reveal identity.
Technically, an ICO is like an IPO, I would never buy shares from a company whom I don't know the real owners. DeFi is a different beast, and I am sure a sort of legalization must be put in place to grow the crypto economy (loans w/o 100% collateral, real asset tokenization, etc.). Right now it is just a speculative field in which very few players can really play anonymously (the first ones that started the party).
