Will opening a bank in Northen Cyprus, a personal one, be useful anyhow? Won't I, or someone else who sends me money, have a problem with sending to/from sendingreceiving money?

What reputation, on average, do the banks of Norther Cyprus have in the eyes of European, UK, US and so on... banks?

Or maybe a business account will be more useful?

It has a terrible reputation, but the good news it basically flies under the radar so they quote Turkish,German, or UK virtual IBAN details - so nobody will now you are banking there. At the end of the day it is pretty good. Banks sending money will not know it is going to Northern Cyprus.

Why not try Serbia or Northern Macedonia instead? Probably a safer bet and still outside EU and CRS.
