Stripe asking for proof of address...?

Stripe is asking for a utility bill (not bank statements) as a proof of address.
Everything is on my name, I run a legit business, but I'm a digital nomad and I don't have any utility bill for my home address that are less old then 3 months!

IF I buy a utility bill pre-made (a fake bill basically), will I go into trouble?
isn't that supposed to be illegal (FRAUD) ?

I'm paying my taxes and I'm doing everything legally, but this could be considered fraud, am I correct?

Not really, to the most extent they could seize your account but I doubt you would get any legal troubles

You can simply get a fake utility bill or photoshopped one done. I can do it for 150€ if you like.

Thhat's not what I'm asking, I know how to get them, the problem is, does anyone know if this is legal? or illegal?

I know forging documents for personal use is not illegal.

But if used to open Stripe accounts, on own names, without the intention of defrauding anyone, wouldn't that still be illegal because it is used with a third party provider (Stripe)?

it is illegal, what do you think. Question is, will they do anything if they figure it out, NO they wont.
