Do the EMIs report any tax matters to your home country (Russia) if you are Russian National having an EMI account?

yes crs apply to russian citizen , f you are e russian you have a truble worldwide , as soon as you are not an oligarch you can buy your own bank you have a problem

If you are russian resident you must pay tax in russia , if you try hide it and they found it out you will end up in a gulag in siberia wind is changed in Russia , pay your tax or get out

How about donations? e.g., Russian citizen opens TW, and receives a donation from someone known and possibly demonstrable. Would that trigger any problem?

TW won't report it to Russia, since they are UK company, UK doesn't have CRS s**t with Russia, you just need to check EMI country 🙂

TW is ok for Russian passport holders when registering as natural person (personal account). Its impossible to get prepaid card. And business accounts (for self-employed persons so-named "IP" in Russia) are also prohibited.

Thank you!
Do you think it works fine for transfering Eur to Rub?
Afaik, without it, it is very challenging to do money transfer to russia. Last time the receiver had to open some account in dollars, with hefty fees, money had to be converted into dollars, then transfered, then converted back to rubles. I wouldn't be surprised if a good 10% overall was eaten up this way.

Currently TransferWise Debit Cards are not provided to Russian customers. How will you do that? By changing personal address in profile and providing fake address proof?

Why fake? anybody can get a EU PoR - just need to rent a property
we get EU PoR for our customers

TransferWise can send prepaid card to Russian citizen if he has address inside EU 🙂 For example, if you have a friend in EU, you can register as Russian with Russian passport. Then change address to your friend's. They will send card to him, and then he sends it to you.

You have to change address in profile AFTER your "normal" address is verified.

I am a big sceptic of this "lifehack". You will have to provide a proof of address document anyway or risk loosing all funds.
