mmm not that I noticed and Ive crossed a few times.
EU passport and EU‍ rental car w EU plates.

you could try crossing by bus for⁠ extra security, or 'local' taxi w no meter (like a local dude)

Yeah or just hike through the forest at night but you know at some point‌ you gotta ask yourself if that is really worth it when there are much simpler,‍ cheaper and more legal options...
