What country would you choose to relocate to avoid taxes?

Why complicate things.

Just cut ties with your home country and move to Dubai. Live‌ there in a rented luxury apartment and enjoy good weather October-April. Spend May-Sep in Europe.‍ Pay 0 tax and save money for a couple of years.

Who wants to live in Europe during winter anyway?

I cant think of a better setup where you get⁤ the best of two worlds.

Then if you want to move back to Europe, deposit⁣ 500k EUR and get a residency in Monaco and keep enjoying your 0 tax life.⁢

From these I would‌ choose Dubai ober the rest. At least in Dubai they have fully working infrastructure and‍ you have the wealthy people there further to almost no crime because they punish you severely if you do something they do not like.

What do you call business friendly enviroment? I assume it is better taxvise but other then this I believe Dubai is tranforming slowly to the western countries⁤ policies.

After scrolling through various threads, I don't notice much mention of Bermuda to relocate for‌ low tax. Like the Bahama's but with better infrastructure.

Who would want to live in Dubai? Soul less autocratic hell hole. I couldn't⁤ think of anywhere worse.

People with friends / family ties?

You see it all depends on the person.⁢ What is right for one will be wrong for another

Why not live in Dubai? Great weather, cheap luxury rental apartments, top class service, everybody speaks english. 0 tax, easy to get and maintain residence.

Friends/Family ties? Whats⁤ the difference on living abroad in Europe or in Dubai? 1-2 hour extra flight time.⁣

In order to pay less taxes, you will need to cut ties with your home⁢ country regardless.

Not all people would like to live in a country⁣ where you have 40+ temperatures in Summar. Even spring and autumn is very very hot.⁢ You have no nature... just desert. Also it's Sharia/Muslim law country...
All city is simply︀ built on the desert and you feel all is fake.
Actually rich people are not︁ living there most of the time. Well, maybe few days per year. They just have︂ residencies and they have houses apartments around Europe. For example, a person from UK (UK︃ citizen) emigrates to UAE, has a residency there. Then he buys villa / apartment ("holiday︄ residence") in south Spain or France and live there without registration at the local council︅ or tax authorities. He then shows to the UK tax authority that he has emigrated︆ to UAE.
It's just basically how it works with UAE or Cyprus.
It's just important︇ not to live in home country (your citizenship country). And not to trigger yourself in︈ high tax country. Don't use local bank accounts, don't be employed or do business

You are not spending summers there. As long as you dont break any laws, who cares.︄ Nature yes, i prefer city life and dont care about nature. But if nature is︅ more important than money, then yes. Dubai feels like any other big city, just far︆ better life quality, safety and service compared to Europe.

Ofcourse you could spend time in︇ other countries but its not that simple. First years you need to be very careful.︈ Thats why i recommend spend at least 6 months during your first year to obtain︉ tax residency.

If you want to pay zero tax, it always comes with some kind︊ of sacrifices.

Of course, it's good recommendation to be︁ careful the first couple years and to build some substance in Dubai. However, long term︂ nobody lives in UAE..

Yes, when you have substance you can live in Europe and only visit UAE two times a year to maintain residency. Then you could always relocate to Monaco if⁤ you have money.

I actually dont mind staying there 3-4 months a year during coldest⁣ winters in Europe.

Soulless petro city state.
Nothing apart from city and desert.
autocratic nature of governance.
Restricted levels of personal freedom
Severe penalties for drink / drugs
No nature
Too many rich people with rich people mindset
Boring people

I could go on and on. But I⁤ am fully aware that for some these negatives are a positive *shrugs*

I can't think of better "no tax" place than UAE. You are free to get‌ your profits and do whatever you wish with them. My alcohol intake reduced to zero‍ when I am here, simply because it is not widely available in every shop. Local ISPs work like a child proof DNS, filtering out websites you do not want your⁤ kids to stumble upon. No P**N press in the shops, no sex shops, you get⁣ used to these things to the point, that when I come back to Europe it⁢ does feel awkward especially with kids around. The residential areas are well kept, green, clean︀ and safe. Judging by the amount of luxury cars in my neighborhood or at the︁ school, I would think there are still rich people living here rather long term. Whoever︂ I meet has been here for 10+ years, usually families with kids.

I don't know︃ where guys like @Konstanz gets his news from, but sitting somewhere in Europe just imaging︄ how the life is in UAE, will not give you a full picture. Where else︅ can I have a villa with private pool, which I can use year round and︆ a call it a tax free long term holiday in fairly well developed country? Sushi︇ at 11pm? No problem, will be here in 30 mins with few taps of my︈ fingers. Shops opened every single day until very late without some bulls**t holidays or closed︉ on Sundays. Try that in Europe, good luck. Everything here is for the convenience of︊ living. The roads are excellent, driving is pure pleasure, only Austria can compete with the︋ quality of roads to UAE. I am struggling in Europe during summer more than here︌ 40+, because either there is no AC in the office or at the shops or︍ I have no private pool to chill in.

I am not saying it is perfect,︎ there are some drawbacks, like 3 day classic music in every radio station when someone️ important dies 🙂 but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the negatives. Desert is a nature‌ of the UAE. Visit Anantara Qasr Al Sarab to discover it's beauty. Dubai does excellent‍ job in handling the public areas such as parks, beaches. I am happy they are strict on drugs, it gives you some peace in rising kids here. I could go⁤ on but there will be always people like some users above who have absolutely no⁣ idea about living here.

Seems we are saying the same⁣ things, it's soul less and boring lol.

oohhhh restaurants and shopping ;-)

Put European tax in UAE. I⁣ bet 80% ex-pats would leave the country.
I was there couple of times. To visit⁢ for Holiday it's very okay. Especially in winter. But for life is not the place︀ for western person..

That is why so many European, Americans, Australians, British and Canadians are living in UAE to enjoy our tax free living. Almost zero crime rates, cheaper convenience at your finger tips.⁤ One time my lock broke off at 12 am while coming home. Got myself a⁣ 24/7 locksmith in 15 minutes for 40 usd. Where would you get these types of⁢ conveniences at these rates? But you have your own choices we have our own. We︀ love to live here instead of Monaco.❤️

But why do you insist on considering income tax that is not existent here?
I am the western person living here for more than 5 years and have seen a great⁤ amount of western families living here longer than me. Also the amount of western kids⁣ at the schools here would also say something opposite to your statement.
