I completely agree with you, normally I wouldn’t think it was something you could trust either. This guy I'm dealing with, I’ve worked with him a bit, and we reached a mutual understanding of what belongs to him and what belongs to me.
I believe he got the message and that nothing will happen.
There are very limited resources that he can access in that particular company. But be careful out there!

That's the problem. To believe is not enough, and even signed papers are of little use.

Why Spain? It is a tax hell even for EU standards, not particularly effective banking, UBO disclosure the same way as everywhere else.

That said, in specific use cases, Spain can actually be a better fit than some Eastern European setups or so-called bounty island structures (like Seychelles, Belize, or the BVI). While those may offer deeper anonymity, they’re increasingly flagged by banks, payment processors, and compliance departments especially for businesses operating in finance, consulting, digital marketing, or anything B2B where reputation and perceived legitimacy matter.
Spain, being part of the EU and fully OECD-compliant, carries far more institutional trust.︀ Even with the UBO disclosure rules, a Spanish SL (Sociedad Limitada) can still pass banking︁ and compliance checks far more easily than a structure based in places like Bulgaria or︂ St. Vincent.
