That's so sad.‍ Can't believe the world's only zero-cost, tax-free residence in a tropical place like Nauru has⁠ closed down.

Australia sends (used to send?) illegal immigrants to horrible detention⁣ camps in Nauru. Press was routinely refused entry to Nauru to limit reporting about the⁢ living conditions there.

Nauru is a sad, depressing and , in more than one meaning︀ of the word , hollow.

And it once was one of the richest countries (gdp per capita). Among the best examples ever of natural resources and financial mismanagement due to shortsightedness.
