Hey,
already wanted to be on the DR but I got seriously sick (still in treatment) and everything postponed a lot. Now it does look quite positive and we think it is realistic to move within next 12months.
In the moment we are located in the uae and I have my company and privat bank accounts here aswell. I will keep the business + business account here (I know it is expensive but I am paid here in cash and it’s the easiest way for me to get the money into banking system). In theory I could go back every 6months to keep my residence︀ but probably gets quite expensive over time.
I read that you recommended not to open︁ a local bank account for salary to avoid any questions, even though my money would︂ come only from uae is that correct?
How do I get money than into the︃ country without taxation? Also is there a county you recommend for opening privat accounts? As︄ uae forbids privat accounts for non residents.
We will stay permanently on the island, so︅ I don’t want to do things „too fishy“, if you know what I mean.
And I also read somewhere that you can recommend an immigration lawyer

Correct, and you will not like local banks.
Use what you need directly from abroad, better directly as a company.
It depends on the amounts. For low amounts you can easily open one in a high street bank in Miami, if you go there in person.
The fishiest you can be is when you catch some pescado. You need to understand the country and don't make enemies.

Okay but from my experience filing taxes with 0 and still paying taxes on the house , buying a car or whatever is the way to catch lots of problems, does it work different there? Thought about at least declaring this 450 DOP or 600k DOP per year and keep the rest outside of the country.

Declare something, setup a small local business, employ local people. Btw some gringos I know are staying in the country for 20 years as tourists 😀
