How soon is the yacht available if one needs to evacuate in a hurry from a southeast US location for 10 days one way triip?

What about Warren Buffett fund? I know it pays no dividends, but it seems to be a good selection of strong and perspective businesses with proper fund size behind to influence some businesses too? Low risk from regulatory perspective and very liquid.
Timing to buy is a bit tricky as I expect all stocks to fall in next 12-24 months (recession on horizont) so a better entry point might be in the near future?

You mean the Berkshire Hathaway share? But then it's again a bet on a single share.
Time of buying is extremely tricky.

You have some examples ?

A-Class stock of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., BRK-A is priced at $435,730.00 per stock! Almost half a million for a single stock!
B-Class stock, BRK-B is priced at $289.55.

Warren is already 91 years old. What do you think will happen with the stock price once he passes away?
It's a one-man show - and I would stay away from investing in such companies (even they have good results).

Even Warren said numerous times that SP500 is usually the best way to invest in case you're not a professional investor.
So if you have no clue what you're doing - take an advice from someone who has...

Yes, I was talking about BRK class B stock here - individual stock price is affordable in case one needs to liquidate a portion of its investment for cash flow needs.
Good point. They also announced the successor as far as I am aware.
Would you expect the company would break apart when Warren goes? Just curious what your view would be.
Exactly, I am not a specialist for stocks. However often "specialists" just charge you high fees and achieve average results (like general index development) or even less. In that perspective BRK class B looks like a simple approach.

The info exchange here touched investment options. There were few ideas here about funds (ETF). If one buys BRK B class stock via electronic brokerage (low fees) it must be similar to ETFs other guys here mentioned. I was of the impression that BH fund is a well managed fund owning shares of top companies. Highly liquid. And with moderate risk compared to some individual stock (for a non specialist).

I agree with what you say, house do you think of the Carl Icahn fund (IEP) which has had a greater return than Berkshire Hathaway in the last 20 years .. sounds interesting..

or does anyone know something better?

We only know of funds what the fund managers want us to know.
There are several Madoffs out there still to be discovered. Most will just quietly disappear”¦ They are the best investment ever if you manage to enter early.

I can agree in general but I don't think this is the case with Carl Icahn and the Icahn Enterprise LP as based on the 13F filings it can be seen that he himself owns the shares of his company (IEP) for 64 % and every quarter continues to increase the position”¦

Mmmm so if I own shares of my own Ponzi scheme it will give you confidence? I'm not claiming that Icahn's fund is a Ponzi, but that's not an indicator of anything.

Once that happens it's a bad news and it will negatively affect the stock price - there is no doubt in that.
That might be the good opportunity to buy, but who knows how the company will perform later on and when the stock price will recover.

SP500 ETFs are cost efficient. If you're looking at high growth - buy growth stocks like Tesla

You have a fee to buy (that's a broker fee) but ETFs also have a management fee (for eg. SP500 from vanguard VOO has 0.03%/year).

Can you give some more info on that.

What sucks about Sun Exchange?

And what is slow?

I meant a specific one. There are tons of them. Not very familiar with the market.
