Importing a lot of third worlders is a good source of voters as well for the ruling party. Canada for example has been allowing a f**k ton of indian immigrants in regardless of whether they can︀ speak english or french, they cannot man even basic cheap labor jobs and are reduced︁ to doing uber/uber eats jobs to generate an income until they have a minimum of︂ skills in english. A lot of party propaganda/marketing has been tailored especially for them so︃ now they represent a huge voter mass that will vote for Trudeau no matter what,︄ regardless of the moronic policies he's been pushing.

That's a common misconception that's incorrect. If I got $10 every time somebody told me that, I'd have a lot of purple bills. Many lawyers make big bucks selling people that narrative. While TN is not dual intent, there is a process that enables TN status to a green card.

Since TN is not dual intent, you cannot leave USA until your status is amended.︄ Filing this forms enables you to make a petition to amend your non-resident alien status︅ to dual intent towards a green card application. All in all, the process takes about︆ 12-18 months. You will have to remain in the USA for that process (if you︇ leave before your status is amended, you risk being banned entry to USA for 3-10︈ years).

I didn't know this︂ was possible, thanks for sharing. Not being able to leave the US during the process︃ could be a pain for some. Imagine if there's a wedding or funeral you have︄ to attend.

No, you're right, I don't think OP is Canadian. But iirc OP spent a few years in Canada, so might be possible to get Canadian papers in another couple years and then go to USA. Depends how badly they want to go there and their present situation.︀ Kinda roundabout, but sometimes it's an option. Of course if you have money to throw︁ at the problem, that's usually better.

But seriously, from how much retentive minutiae is︄ scrutinised for US immigration by marriage, I would not consider marriage an option unless an︅ absolute last resort (and I mean last resort after considering to live in any other︆ country). USCIS (previously INS) can trail you for 10+ years checking up on the validity︇ of your marriage. You would really have to love somebody to go through that hassle,︈ I don't know that even paying $250k for a marriage would be worthwhile considering the︉ hassle (not to mention that it is a serious federal crime). I guess the best︊ thing then is to just say you identify as a butterfly and are gender-fluid in︋ an open harem-like relationship, and they'll never know who you're really sleeping with, which side︌ of the bed you're on, or which of your wife's cousins farts the loudest at︍ family cookouts. His dog was dying in Toronto, so he left in the middle of the process and got banned from re-entering USA for ten years, iirc. You gotta ask yourself what's more important at that point. If the dog was in Toronto, family︀ should have drove to visit him with the dog in Buffalo to say their goodbyes.︁ But he didn't think that US immigration was so serious. That's a mistake lots of︂ Canuckleheads make, because coming and going from USA as a tourist is generally easy breezy.︃ But it's hella serious when you're trying to make work for great benefit of glorious︄ future lifetime, then they treat you like a Mexican---papeles cabron, la pinche migra viene! That is indeed the worst part about the U.S. (even though Europe is far worse). Normal productive people do not want to work for the government (except for Republican appointees after an election, who wish to enact change -- but then we all saw what happened to the Trump administration).
I haven't experienced EU as an undocumented resident, so I cannot compare. Maybe it is worse. For sure there is probably more layers of bureaucracy, though USA has no shortage of it either, depending on which state and for what situation. Speaking from the aspect of recently importing some︀ products into Europe, what the blistering barnacles?! They want to trace all the aspects of︁ the transactions, who sold the goods, where the money went, where the cardboard box is︂ from. But when I'm dealing with USA or Canada, it's completely laissez-faire in comparison. I︃ was shocked how quickly I lost interest in doing business there. And then there's limits︄ on how you much money you can transfer personally between persons, and why isn't there︅ a EU tax ID (even if this product was external than the foreign seller should︆ get an EU tax ID), blah blah. Forget about paying cash, but in USA it's︇ just another walk in the park to splash some cash. Even in Commie Canada there's︈ some remedy for petty cash.

But then if you︋ ever leave USA, it might be a one way trip. And maybe you should stay︌ in sanctuary cities/counties for the quietest life away from law enforcement. But there's many opportunities︍ and money. The cash economy is huge in Texas right now, and you can get︎ legit driver's license or other ID in more states nowadays than before as an undocumented.️ So for many people, making the trip across the Rio Grande is worth the danger. Idk how desperate I would be coming from EU, but it might an adventure. Green card interviews have been getting waived more and more, maybe there will be some other loosening of restrictions by Brandon's administration. haha let's go Brandon.
