I don't think Putin has time to meet OCT members for tea and biscuits. He seems to have quite a lot going on in his life, including somewhat demanding job, family, social clubs, etc.

As to a reason WHY I would ask for Russian residence? Yes. My brain is conservative. My penis is liberal. So I have to look at all the pros and cons. Just like "getting arrested for looking at P**N" is one huge negative why I won't move to Dubai. Do I look at P**N daily? No. Do I look at P**N sometimes? Yes. Do I want to go to jail︀ for looking at P**N? No.

I haven't had a chance to answer this! I will make a Mentor Gold of it to answer you because this is a fundamental question, and we need ALL brains on deck to calculate "quasi-retirement to the point of no return, no debasement, and 'controlled'' inflation." 100% true maybe according to your experiences . Different people will have differing experiences , no need for generalization .
Living in a certain region with a corrupt governor => will paint your whole view about the country in a bad light , even though there are other regions with good leadership.
Your experiences don’t necessarily represent the whole country .

It’s not only mine experience but as well the experience of my︃ friends and thousands of people that were imprisoned just for posting smth like ‘I am︄ against the war’ in their social media, it’s about many other things as well. If︅ you are okay to live in the country where you cannot say any word without︆ having problems afterwards , where you see many old people with 150$ pension looking for︇ food on the street, where police won’t help you at all when you need that︈ and will try to scam you (for example put some drugs in you pocket during︉ a car search especially if you drive a good car) this happens basically anywhere in︊ Russia and many many other things. If you are okay with all of that- please︋ go there and live there, but some people might be not okay with that and︌ should be aware of such kind of things.
