Crypto immigration (I guess I"m the first Asian here)

Long story short. You want to move elsewhere and acquire a passport. You also state‌ that Nauru etc. does not fit the bill. But then what would fit the bill?‍ Would EU residency with Korean passport work?

You are not the first Asian on OCT, there are many around here 😉

How to‌ immigrate to Malta or Cyprus ?

I hope I"m writing this in the correct way, (This is my first-ever reply!)
Yeah, like my parents⁤ are still gonna be staying in Korea, so I guess I need osmething that I⁣ can visit Korea at any time, While something that's not gonna make them to raise⁢ an eyebrow (or two!)

EU residency with Korean passport might work, (I also lived in︀ Europe for some years already),
I don't know. There was this president of a guy︁ being judged as "residence" after 23 years of living abroad, and the reason was "Because︂ he was helping out with living costs to his mother, and his mother has been︃ alive and residing in South Korea for those 23 years".
I mean, I hate KR︄ now, but I don't wanna murder my parents just because I don't want to be︅ a tax resident here.
So in the long run, maybe the one that I can︆ apply for the citizenship?

I was looking into Panama, Argentina... ETC ETC
I pick up︇ languages pretty fast, so I guess I can start downloading Duolingo first...haha

I'm just not︈ sure on how to deal with Crypto without having extensive source of funds check.
Not that my funds are from any illegal thingie, it's just so fucking complicated to provide︉ it.
Like when I was living in Vietnam, I worked for this company in Burma.︊ And got paid in Dollars.
At that time, VN didn't have enough tax system to︋ trace anything, so they didn't charge for the foreign earned income.
the guy who paid︌ me? He got publicly executed during the communist rebellion in Myanmar.
(He was just a︍ landlord with a huge a*s banana farm, so yeah the biggest enemy of the local︎ communist...) may he rest in peace.
Like how can I prove for that....? I bet️ some voodoo evidence won't work.
and I got tons of stories like that...
Like my‌ working visa in that country did belong to my ex-girlfriend who registered me as a‍ "spouse", and I need that ID number to trace down my tax payment statement,,, and I cannot reach out to her haha.

And now, with what's going on in KR,⁤ (Venezuela lookalike welfare policies), and government got enough power to abuse... ETC ETC, It's kinda⁣ obvious I'd be judged as a tax resident because my parents are alive in Korea.⁢ (That's what recent presidents say...)

so yeah, the country that can give me PR soon,︀ and in the end, decent passport can come out.
that's what I want

So yeah,︁
IN short, Panama? Malta? Northern Cyprus? Paraguay? Mexico?
Anywhere, just good enough to not to︂ raise any eyebrow,
IT's just that My limited ability with google and just too many︃ advertisement on the websites.
(Also easy to cash out crypto)

Hope my story somehow entertained︄ you.
Cheers mate.

It came across my mind too. But there's just too little info.
Like how long‍ does it take to get the Permenant residence?
Like then citizenship?
What's the living costs?

I need some specific high blood pressure pills and cholesterol, levothyroxine,
is it easy to⁤ get it there?
and How many days in year do I need to say there?⁣
Are chicks hot? (This is a joke)

And can I just enter South Korea with⁢ that Passport?

Because I spent years in other South East Asia, I wish it kinda︀ comes with my Infinite travel right to the SEA too....
There's just too many things︁ I want to look into, yet there is too little info available.
Do you have︂ any company website or so? Cheers.

Funny enough, Yeah I‍ had to write some hook punchline to make you guys to type it in here.

I don't mind! Though, I read it that Malta is looking it up, and Cyprus...⁤ Idk North or Just normal?

If you can pick up languages easily and have a solid education in Korea, there‌ should be many doors open even in Europe. Without education, things are a bit more‍ difficult, but there is still a lot that can be done in South America and Africa etc. Even the US and Canada could work.

I think the main question is⁤ what you actually want.
  • 5 years in Germany, Belgium, etc. and then a solid EU⁣ passport?
  • 3 years in South America and then a passport there?
My recommendation and if⁢ you don't know, is just get a couple of residencies first and decide later. I︀ would not necessarily recommend Paraguay as their passport cannot be combined with any other one︁ really. Hence, better go to some neighbouring countries.

Come to‌ Thailand, keep the crypto outside (foreign exchange, rather personal acc or corporate) and cash our‍ to an external account (tax free).

Seems like they are working to modify the law so that foreign earned income can be brought to Thailand tax free in the same⁤ year but its all words for now, nothing settled.

Go to KR a few times⁣ a year to visit mom but always short term and come back to Thailand.

Hey,
It seems that Cyprus could be a fit for you. At least getting permanent‌ residence permit here for you and your family and a second home to live. Crypto‍ can be converted here and is selectively acceptable for real estate transactions. The citizenship route also opens up with this route. if you would be interested to find more, I⁤ can DM you and potentially go on a call to brief you on everything about⁣ this option. Kindly let me know.

The standard is to︀ apply for permanent residency two years after temporary residency. You can get it automatically through︁ the investor program (70k+ investment).

Citizenship depends. The standard is 3 years after permanent residency,︂ but there are ways to do it much sooner.

Living costs: very cheap, compared to︃ South Korea, you can expect to save like 60-70%

Medicine: no problem

Stay requirements: 0,︄ only visit once every three years

Women are hot

You can visit South Korea on︅ your PY passport through an electronic visa, no problem.

Yeah... I︂ went to Uni in Europe. I lived in Germany for a year before, and Netherlands...︃
But isn't the trend like everyone who deals crypto leaving there?

I am 95% crypto...︄ So I don't think Germany and Belgium... other those Fancy Europe isn't what that would︅ be ideal...

I was thinking about 3 years in South America would work too.
I mean, if I get the second passport, I'm automatically not South Korean anymore.
I'd be︆ "DISQUALIFIED" To be Korean then lol.

See, that's what I read yesterday...
But then⁢ to get the visa is hectic...
And knowing how tings are in SEA. I thought︀ I gotta wait for a bit to figure out on what and what?

But let's︁ see
South Korea is a bit cunt about deciding "tax residency"
One guy was considered︂ as a tax residency in South Korea (even though he lived abroad for 27 years)︃ but the Supreme Court ruled that He has been still South Korean Resident because his︄ parents were alive. Then they fined him for all the unreported income of 27 years︅ with interests...
With all the empty welfare they are currently giving out, I think it'd︆ be worse...
So yeah, that's why I am also putting a new nationality into my︇ calculation

My question would be,⁢
Is it relatively easy to pull out money after that?

Because, I know Dubai is︀ like that too, but then you can't really get the money out after you sell︁ your house. They'd ask for "Where did you get this money from? or where did︂ you get the money from?" ya know.

And what's the threshold for the money?

Not at all, its all done online and you can counterfeit‍ most docs tbh.

Paying taxes us an︂ entirely personal choice.
If you want to pay, you pay. If you dont want to︃ pay, then you dont.

Come to TH, stuck your crypto into a company, and dont︄ ever make any money personally.
There you have it, you never made any money and︅ thus theres no tax owed.

I'll definitely look into Paraguay too!

Wait... so 2 years of Temporary︀ residency,
then 3 more years of Permenant residency...
Then does citizenship status matters on the︁ amount of time staying there?
Cheers mate! Looking to hear more from you

What are︂ the ways to make it sooner?

(Also, thanks for picking up my jokes on women︃ being hot) hahaha

Isn't counterfeiting⁣ most docs cost too much effort,
and my effort it's not just me sweating, it's⁢ just causing too much trouble?
IDk, am I too naive? haha

I don't mind paying︀ taxes I don't.
FOr me, I'm more likely to on the runaway side of SouthKorean︁ gov abusing their powers.
And personally, them going after my family is my number 1︂ trauma.

Holy f**k, you can reply to two different post‍ all at once? That's new.
Well, I gotta cash out to live my life or invest into something else ins't it mate.

Plus, Living in Germany or in Netherlands was⁤ not a pleasant experience.
I'd rather be in the Eastern Europe than there.
Germany was⁣ racist AF in all society, I literally got spit in my face during the covid⁢ time... ETC ETC
Though, red light district and entertainment were good, foods were good, I︀ got good friends,
I always felt like there was this glass ceiling thing up above︁ my head.

oh and Plus,
I read it in this forum,‍
That Germany is an a*s of asking for the Source of Fund statement when it comes to cashing out crypto. And knowing their bureaucracy, I think they would definitely be⁤ like"Give me all the paperworks for your all life!"

But tbh, I don't think it's⁣ possible.

Right after you‌ get permanent residency. It starts at 70k for low-risk countries (EU, UK, Switzerland, USA, Canada,‍ South Korea...).
