I know FIPB is definitely related to investment and with some regulatory framework of promoting business. Exactly I don't it's relevance to formation of companies and their functions.Can anybody clear my doubts?

The abbreviation of FIPB is Foreign Investment Promotion Board. It is a statutory Board established by Government of India to examine and approve all investments likely to be made by foreign companies in India whether wholly or through it's subsidiaries.
