What's left as decent jurisdiction for privacy

First caveat:
Never rely on any jurisdiction for privacy.
States are not your friends. They don’t grant privacy, because privacy isn’t theirs to give. It’s a fundamental right, not a favor. Still, they use your money to erode it.
Real privacy is built, not granted. It comes from tools, not trust.

That said, jurisdiction still matters, not because you can trust them, but because some are less hostile, less connected, or simply less competent.

Iceland

Why do you think JohnnyDoe is .is?
– Outside the EU
– No military ties to NATO
– Pro-privacy legal culture
– Doesn’t lick Washington's butt
Still one of the least compromised options.

Russia

Yes, seriously.
If you're not Russian and not doing business there, it can be useful.
West can't subpoena them.
Asymmetry beats ideaology.

Panama

Still functional with clean setups. Keep a low profile.
Loud guys with shell companies ruined the illusion, but smart structuring still works.

Marshall Islands, Nevis, El Salvador

Viable options. Not because they’re safe, but because they’re out of sync with the global compliance blob.

Most of Africa

Paradoxically, the broken, unorganized state of most African countries can accidentally be good for privacy. Not by design but because no one’s watching, no one’s coordinating, and bribes still beat subpoenas.

Forget:

Switzerland: snitches in suits
Singapore: mask of discretion, heart of surveillance
USGBCANZAU Five Eyes: mass surveillance in UHD (but the US is good for banking)
EU: digital iron curtain, disguised as values

Where to find true privacy

– Decentralized infrastructure
– Self-hosted tools
– End-to-end encrypted everything
– Stateless mindset
Jurisdictions may buy you time. Tools buy you freedom.
Moral of the story: don’t trust flags. Trust code, trust math, trust yourself (and your imaginary friends).

Moreover, there’s no freedom without privacy and no privacy without freedom.

To understand freedom, appreciate it, and pursue it, you need to be mentally and physically ready.
That’s why this forum exists.
And that’s why we have the Biohacking section: to help you fix the physical part and build the kind of body that can carry a free mind.

Iceland is fantastic for servers and domain names indeed; they give you complete freedom and don't cooperate with governments. I can confirm this after a good friend who runs a right-wing news site endured extensive attempts to have his website taken offline. Without an Icelandic server, he was now offline and known to the authorities.

Many people don't know this, but companies and government departments have considerable power to take your website offline. And it's super easy. I once had my site taken offline simply because of an unfounded complaint to the registrar.

Two websites I use myself: orangewebsite.com and internet.bs. The latter is registered in the Bahamas but also fully focused on protecting your privacy. Payment in crypto is possible.
