Until a few weeks ago, yes. There was a scheme where you would deposit Turkish liras, but if exchange rate moved not in your favor, Central Bank would compensate you the difference and then some - just as if it was a deposit in USD.
There are some exemptions/nuances but generally they have. I don't have male kids so far, so I didn't research details.
sure thats always an option, esp with such a country 😉 But i prefer not creating new problems (to the many already existing) esp when I didnt have them before.
Then just don't teach your kids Turkish. I am pretty sure the army has little interest in then.
not knowing the language allows for even better cannon fodder. Better yet just get another passport. 😉
I once met a guy who was in the Turkish army protecting the border. He told me that they were 50 and after 6 months in the wild, 15 came back.
