When asked where you found a specific client or where are you going to find new clients by the bank, what's your usual reply?
Is just having a decently curated social media presence enough?
I usually just scroll it off by saying my client acquisition is based on word of mouth but I guess it may not be believable once I start moving more and more money through my company.

The answer should match your business type. If you're a business that can realistically grow by just word of mouth, keep doing that.

Sometimes it's good to spend some money on Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter/X ads just to be able to show invoices.

Other times it's good to sign agreements with introducers/referrers that might send clients to you in exchange for some kickbacks.

This is the probably the answer to your question.

It completely depends on your business (the essential factor), on the bank which is asking you, your residence and citizenship and some more factors. IMO, no general answer is possible.

UPDATE: As I see, @Sols has posted simultaneously with me. I can say nothing against what is written in his post.

I am just a simple countryman. Anything I say is only a personal opinion, not a certified advice 🙂

If you think it makes sense, you can like it; if opposite, please, tell me, why I am wrong...

You need to have a professional website created for your company, tailored to make it clear that you can attract customers through it. If you can set up a webshop, that would be ideal, but otherwise at least a page that describes your services and how they can be purchased.

Yeah that's the first thing, I'm now just looking for the final touches around my setup to make it as good as it can possibly be.
I will take everyones advice and focus on SEO, and spending some money on advertising on google and x.
