Which countries do you consider attractive to obtain
a residency and eventually later on a citizenship (as second citizenship)?

To me, the residency should have the advantage of 0 tax/territorial rights or
if the residency in a jurisdiction with a bit taxes comes later on with citizenship should have at least additional benefits like a good public healthcare system etc.

Panama and Guatemala for not long time ago we had a Service Provider / agent from Guatemala on this forum, he was actually good in what he was doing.

If you want a great country with the same kind of standard you would find in a European country, I would suggest Uruguay. It has a good public healthcare system. Low crime rate. Scores well on the Global Peace index at 35th place.

Those who decide to spend more than 183 days per year in Uruguay (thus, becoming tax residents) will have a five-year window during which they will not pay income tax on any type of foreign income.

After the five years are up, if you are still a tax resident of Uruguay, then you would pay a 12% income tax on two types of foreign income: interest and dividends. Any other type of income is untaxed.

The country is progressive when it comes to war on drugs: marijuana is not only taxed but sold by the government.

There are no earthquakes, hurricanes or volcanic activity in Uruguay. There are also no nuclear plants in the country.

Seems to be a good destination if you have plenty of cash in an offshore account.

Just imagine, if you have 1M€/$/£ offshore, you can spend 1 year there, wire everything on your bank account... and magical 0% and no question? 😀

Thank you. Haven't seen Guatemala on the list.
How about Paraguay or Belize (given you form the company there anyways, why not get residency there)?

Thanks also for Uruguay, but 183 days in the country isn't the right choice for me at the moment.

Well, I don't do in these second citizenships nor passports. So what I know about it is very little.

I have been in Uruguay a few times, nice country but not a place I would like to live. Panama is a much more beautiful place.
