First of all thanks for all the information that you have on this website, its very informative.

However I wanted to ask a question about registering a Cyprus non-resident company. I am a citizen and resident of Latvia and the reason why I am looking for a Cyprus company is that LLC's in my country are required to register for VAT after 50k revenue in euros (doesnt matter if they are residents or non residents).

My business is affiliate marketing and my revenues are pretty high around $300-400k a year so I cant escape VAT neither in Cyprus or Latvia if I have a resident company. I would greatly benefit from a non-VAT company, as many of my clients/partners are not VAT payers and as a VAT payer I have to charge VAT on their purchases.

While reading this website I noticed that Cyprus non-resident companies cannot get a VAT number, is that true? No matter how much revenue goes through this Cyprus non-resident company? If thats true, does the income/expenses/profit get audited at the end of the year? I was looking at Seychelles before, but the problem I was told would be to bring that money back to Latvia, as that income is not audited and I would be taxed for the whole revenue and not just the profit part. I have no problem paying taxes in Latvia as they are no that high, my main reason for this would be to have a company where I can show audited report of income/expenses so I would have to pay taxes just on profit in Latvia.

First of all, defiantly a Non Resident company can't be registered for VAT since it is exempted from tax and also for obvious reasons is not a Cyprus resident!

Further, a Cyprus company has to file audited financial reports each year, we take care of such as well, this apply as well for non resident and dormant Cyprus companies.

So from what I see the Cyprus non resident would work for you very well.
