Good day, Gentlemen!

First, I searched on this site for this: Search results for query: US debit cards for employees but didn't get anywhere.

Background:

(1) What this particular business is:
It's a home remodeling and repair company. We do everything from plumbing, electricity, interior & exterior painting, stop & repair water damage (leaks, rain, or hurricane), ceiling and roof repair, etc.
We outsource work to a lot of contractors.

(2) What I need:
To be able to issue a reloadable debit card to contractors that contractors can use to pay for construction supplies e.g. at Home Depot, Builder Square, etc., etc.
The card will be reloaded with the "exact" amount for the exact purchases every time. Preferably, it has to be fast.

(3) What are we trying to accomplish?
Avoid doing ACH transfers (takes too long) to contractors' accounts or meeting contractors at Builder Square or Home Depot to pay for supplies. Growth is extremely hampered due to logistics. Hurricane season is coming AGAIN and we get terribly busy during hurricane season. Imagine trying to meet with +1000 contractors at 6 am every day. 🙄 Local bank employees are useless in providing solutions. Bank monkeys are too busy posting on IG, FB, TikTok, Twitter, etc.

Any debit card solutions so we can increase revenues?

Thank you in advance.

PS. Maybe something similar to @Wallester White-label card issuer and co-brand payment solution | Wallester but for the US?

Why not get in touch with some of the many providers and ask them for their options to help you? Wallester may have a solution as well as @ALEX NOVA and other users around here.

You are correct! Wallester wrote me back. They have it but not in USD. I can't afford the conversion rates and, more importantly, I'd like to keep this business outside of the EU.

I'll try Alex

Thanks!

Well, it might be completely unusable idea as well ”“ but what about some company like Edenred (Home - Edenred USA). They are perfectly accustomed to issuing a lot of cards to employees dedicated to a particular purpose and controlled in real-time. E.g., if they are able to issue fleet cards (= cards usable for payments at gas stations, car repairs and specialised shops), why cannot they be able to issue cards usable to pay for construction supplies? Yes, Edenred is a monster company and monsters are usually not very flexible ”“ but 1) it is not the only company in this business and 2) why not to give it a try? 😉

If you think it makes sense, you can like it; if opposite, please, tell me, why I am wrong...

You are welcome 🙂

Just to add, another big company present in the U.S.A. competing with Edenred is Sodexo. (I do not know any more competitors although I guess that they are some.)

And if we talk about “classical” debit cards, perhaps it can be worth trying to ask Soldo (Prepaid Company Cards & Automated Expenses | Soldo). Generally, they offer exactly what you need ”“ employee expense cards. Unfortunately, they are neither present in the U.S.A. nor issuing USD cards (AFAIK); but (differently from Wallester) they are at the market for a remarkable time and they serve corporates like Sony or Mitsubishi, so I guess they could be able to advise something ”“ their sales and support used to be helpful. (And BTW, they are a UK, not EU company.)

This one is very interesting for Europe. I just applied for an account. I can really use these. Thank you very much! thu&¤#

I welcome all solutions. The more, the merrier. 😎

PS. I prefer to pay a package fee of €50/month on accounts and have hundreds of accounts, then get a "free" account with all my eggs in one basket and be at the mercy of one bank/FI monkey. I have been doing "social experiments" for decades and what (most?) people will do when they have me by the balls, shocks my conscience! Even family! stupi#21 It's astounding! 😳

Thanks again for all these leads! They are wonderful!

Well... unfortunately. Perhaps not most people do that (at least I believe so 😉 ) but it's happening frequently 🙁. My sympathies to you.
