Piggy Bank Account

Hello everyone,

I am looking into opening a bank account, which is non-crs and more or less "safe" to keep some money in. I also don't mind opening up a company.
Should be anonymous as far as it gets, darks may be an option but not a need. Everything comes from a mid risk business.
Money for the structure is not a problem even if it costs 10k or more. What do you think is the best way to get such a bank account? Debit card or way to withdraw cash is a must.

I should advice some solutions, but I am the last who arrived here. Perhaps, other people with much experience than me can help you. Also, I dont know if I can answer or no...

Non-CRS chasing is like playing a rigged game. You will lose, eventually.

Looking at the current list of not-yet-signatories to AEOI... With the right connections and amounts of money, you can open bank accounts in Botswana, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Namibia, North Macedonia, Serbia, Tanzania, and Vietnam without too much trouble. But all of them will sooner or later sign up for CRS.

So you drop a few grand and get a bank account in Vietnam without any difficult questions, but suddenly in 2024 Vietnam signs up for AEOI starting 2025. A few others probably have as well. So now you have even fewer options, but you decide to fly to Djibouti, grease some palms, and open a bank account. Then after another year or two, the same thing happens again. Oh no! You should have paid the banker a little extra so your account would've been marked as domestic and given a local address. Or maybe you did but you're not sure anymore... So the race continues, as the gap in CRS closes.

If you value peace of mind, the best advice I can give is to sort out your tax residence in such a way that CRS is a non-issue. The best is genuine tax residence, but there are plenty of people who are tax resident in places like UAE without actually spending much time there, having local bank accounts, and not being in scope for CRS.
