Hello,

I guess the whole UBO registrations is really the bottle neck to stay under the radar.

But I Noticed each country has it's own way to make the UBO register information available to the public.

For example in the UK you can download the full database of UBO (PSC) register and do any search you would like.
As far as I know in The Netherlands, it will only be possible to search on a company name to get information.

The latter search function makes it still a bit anonymous as long as nobody knows your company name you use. So people can not search you by person but will have to know your company to get details.

Is there anybody that has a list of each country and UBO search options? Maybe Cyprus will also take a smarter approach and limit the search functionalities.

Don't know the exact date, but somewhen in march 2021 the UBO register should be integrated in the European Central Platform. Then every search possibility should be possible. The countries for which the offshore business was a serious business branch just want to prolonged it as long as possible.

Yes you are correct about that one. But it seems EU countries have different definitions of UBO anyway (some countries you are UBO with 25% shares, some countries you are UBO with >25% shares) and also record different information. I guess the fact there is so much uncertainty about it makes it their strongcard at the moment. Nobody can make preparations.

But that probably means I have to shop at the borders of the EU: Liechtenstein, Channel Islands, Gibraltar etc.
I think most have signed the 5th AMLD but not sure if they will be connected to the European Central Platform register.
