Ideas that solve a real or trivial problem using disproportionate intelligence or resources.

Let's start with this:

Problem: bed headboard on same wall as TV.
Normal people: move furniture.
Proposed solution: introduce a micro black hole with controlled Schwarzschild radius to gravitationally lens photons 180 degrees.

Spaghettification of the viewer of course is a danger, but if you keep quiet on the bed you should be safe.
Good catch. Unfortunately, the black hole should be so small (smaller than an atomic nucleus) to avoid spaghettification of the viewer (and the bed he lies on) that the light would not bend enough.
The other problem is that the entire planet would fall into your bedroom.

The feasible alternative is to create a wormhole: mouth A sits in front of the TV, mouth B sits in front of your eyes. Light goes in A and comes out B, so the TV is effectively in front of you.
No problems with gravitational fields and perfectly consistent with physics.

Another option is to create a sort of bulk shortcut in the 5th dimension, that allows you to manipulate light at will. This solution has the bonus advantage that if you leave the TV on, you can access any past show at will.
