Every country has set rules and regulations to govern the activities of banks. Cyprus is no exception; the central bank of Cyprus is bestowed with the power to regulate/ control the banking sector in the land.

I think the Central Bank of Cyprus, being the Apex Bank of the country, who is bestowed with the power to regulate and control the banking sector of the land, is doing its job honestly and actively. That's the reason, so many global entities and individuals are inclined to avail banking services in Cyprus.

At least the banks in Cyprus survived the financial crisis, none of the banks here have filed bankruptcy!

Yes I agree with you in many countries many banks have gone into the state of bankruptcy but some of the Cyprus banks are still tested and safe

I think rules and regulations of cyprus banks are more strict due to limits imposing them on banks. It is hard and difficult to open a bank account and not easy
