I am currently developing a niche blog but I don't have a clue on whether I should monetize it with selling my own product or selling other product's blog. What would be the advantage of selling my own product over selling someone's product or vice versa?

I would go for selling my own product, getting the blog promoted very well give you two benefits from it.... 1 you get money right into your pockets, second, while you promote you blog and selling your services, you will get a great indexing of the site and also hopefully grow the blog for a good PR ranking... so once you decide to sell any other product, you can just publish it on your blog and see the orders comming in.
