I have a business in which I earn roughly 8k a month in crypto.
I will be traveling to Macedonia to open up a personal account and withdraw the crypto to that account.

I live in the EU and I was told that non-residents accounts are easy to setup, although a personal visit is required. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with Macedonian banks (HalkBank and Capital Bank)? And in particular: Do they ask for proof residency?

I send several emails to the banks with this particular question, but never got a response. I'm told this is 'normal' in these countries, but still... Does anyone have an answer? Reason to ask this question is because although Macedonia currently has no CRS implemented, it's just a matter of time before they do and if no proof of residency is required I can maybe pick one strategically 🙂

Great question will be watching this thread.

The reason for why you didn't got any response may be that they all require an introducer to take on new customers. If people from the street send questions they may simply ignore it.
