You're correct, I'm moving to a different country, considering Monaco as it was mentioned in another thread here today. Don't know how complicated it is, else I find a different country.

Wait, what? You were looking for a low-cost setup (25k), now you want to move to Monaco?
You know that you will need a couple million just to be able to move there?

There are a couple of threads about this, for example:

Thread 'Obtaining tax residency in Monaco'

Jan 17, 2020
Dear readers,

I would like to share some information about the tax residency of Monaco, its do's and don'ts.

First of all, you should ask yourself - can I afford it and is it for me?

  • Very expensive real estate and rentals. The cheapest options are small studios, which, sometimes, isn't big enough for 1 person. This is the most crucial part of your application for the tax residency. If you want to have a safe bet - buy it, so they will clearly see your connection with the Monaco and willingness to stay. 1 bedroom apartment costs will start from 1,5m EUR and if you have a family...

Thread 'Residence in Monaco + US LLC'

Feb 10, 2024
Hello to all members of the forum.

I hope I've chosen the right section to write this thread, but being a combination of residency + business setup I'm not entirely sure.

I put my situation in context.

I have had a company in Estonia for 2 years. The company is dedicated to online services. I use Stripe as payment gateways to charge my customers.

Last year I paid more than 600k euros in taxes in Estonia when distributing my dividends, and the first year more than 400k euros. This year, according to the forecast, the taxes will exceed 1M euros.

I want to move to Monaco, because...

Long story short - it's not cheap. Monaco basically also doesn't have any tax treaties, so if your home country has any claim against you, your Monaco residency won't help you.
There are many cheaper options.

I've set up several low cost setups outside the ER in the UAE.

Essentially you would just form an LLC here and upstream and divedends from a EU holding company.

Alternatively the funds can be received directly to Dubai from the EU as well.
