Hi,
I have a relatively simple set up, I open LLCs in different states under different nominee directors (I may or may not be using darks) and then apply with a payment processor for a simple (ecommerce, general merchandise) merchant account. I keep getting declined. It's like I hit a wall or something.
I tried major players such as First Data (and it's ISOs), Heartland, Paymentech... What changed in the industry? Could it be my mailing addresses (virtual offices or just mailbox rental)? Phone systems ( I use a VOIP service )? The ids I'm using? The fact that I'm using a virtual machine?
It's never been like this before, I used to open merchant accounts on the fly before a couple of years ago, it's like they tightened up or something recently in the industry.
