How long from wire sent until it bounces back?

Supposedly someone sent a wire two weeks ago and they said everything looks fine on their end. However Leupay says no wire ever hit. Sender says maybe it got caught up at corresponding banks.

So what I'm trying to figure out is how long wire would be held up before being returned to sender. This would be from an EU bank account.

Usually it takes max 7 business days. You can rest assured there is something wrong! I wouldn't be suprised if it is at LeuPay's end.

I asked them and they say there's been no wire sent at all. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the initiating wire info from sender.
