People who think god exists
People who worship women or hate men
People who have no capacity for logic
People who are puppets of various mini religions aka causes
People who like marvel movies

They are everywhere

This has been the case for 1000s of years, so there must be some books written on this subject of living happily while surrounded by s**t. Anyone knows any?

Is it that hard to avoid in real life? Just limit your time spent with people who fit the profile you don't like?

I agree sometimes it can get annoying if you overhear a conversation in a cafe and you think how the hell do you actually believe what you're saying, but it is not something that should impact your day.

You tend to get 10/20% of the population who understand what is going on (or at least have the ability to think), 30/40% who believe whatever narrative/cause they are told, and then 50/60% who just "go along to get along" to avoid the hassle but probably think the same as you or are at least open to different ideas; they just don't speak out much.

I know quite a few people in the 30/40% who believe absurdities. They typically are not bad people, but they operate their lives through a consensus filter whereby if they are presented with information, they don't think about how accurate it is; their first thought is, "Will the tribe be ok with me thinking this?" So, unfortunately, they are easy to manipulate when narratives are propagated via the media. That's why you get mass formations. They are usually either women or low-testosterone males, i.e., they can't defend themselves. NPCs if you prefer.

They're not the sort of people you'd want next to you in a foxhole, but if they're part of your social circle or whatever, I tend to humour myself by letting them speak and avoiding going too political. And limit your overall interactions with them if you can. Just stick with people in the 10% group or the 50/60% who can at least offer some debate and are open to changing their minds.

Remember that there is what is true (objective, empiric), and what is better (irrational most of the time).

And often the two do not coincide.

79.4 % Christianity
69.6 % Catholicism (official)
9.8 % other Christian
9.6 % no religion
6.0 % Islam
5.0 % other

So, probably, considering his logic at least 9 out of 10 persons there crazy or brainwashed.
I'm not even mentioning those who like marvel movies, which would probably make these statistics even worse

It helps but at various points in your life you're gonna be like you're in a trapped in a room surrounded by monkeys, or a jew in germany, or a white hot girl in india, a healthy person in a mental institute
