I just wonder if the license for such companies are issued by CYSEC? - Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission if so it is worth the effort to get the license since it is also valid in the rest of the EU and my company would get the status of a financial institution..

You are right, the license obtained for the Cyprus company is from CYSEC, we don't enter into any bogus licensing procedure...
