With Firefox 145, we’re rolling out major privacy upgrades that take on browser fingerprinting — a pervasive and hidden tracking technique that lets websites identify you even when cookies are blocked or you’re in private browsing. These protections build on Mozilla’s long-term goal of building a healthier, transparent and privacy-preserving web ecosystem.

if I was still young enough and full of energy to explore new business opportunities I'd start building anticloudflare proxy - configurable user level solution to fight TLS/JA3 fingerprinting, VPN detection, geolocation, JS user interaction, etc. - there is and will be a huge demand, the potential customer is solvent and desperate, it's not that technically difficult from certain level of understanding the problematic, it's lot of fun and source of mental challenges

I will do my own research. But you still young and full of energy.

I wish you the best always.

Having a fingerprint is a must, but what matter the most not to be associated with your identity.

What budget do you think would be required to build it?
Wouldn't cloudflare easily reverse engineer the product and implement countermeasures?

that's a rather complex thing to discuss and depends on the scope of the project as there are different issues to be addressed and each has it's value as standalone tool to solve this

for example we have a single purpose solution used in some of our projects that covers plenty of issues and would be a great code base for such a project - however it was never meant to be a standalone solution used by third-parties and I don't have time and motivation to start new business

I strongly believe we are talking about lower hundreds of thousands to create something decent and test the potential

no, that's the trick

it's not just about cloudflare but all other tools designed to detect who you are, what do you want, where do you come from, .... all of them MUST let average Joe through without him noticing anything and getting pushed away before the value is extracted from him - while on the other hand they WANT to recognize and block the unwanted ones (bots, web scrapers, data miners, automation tools, unsupported clients, unsupported locations, blacklisted participants, etc.)

in general there is nothing to reverse engineer by cloudflare... this transparent configurable proxy is supposed to exactly impersonate Joe or many different Joes that are indistinguishable from their user base that is welcome - and this is done by the proxy reverse engineering the tools of the enemy

Now we have :

JA4+ Network Fingerprinting
yep, the development of techniques accelerated dramatically in the last 4 years - in 2020 this was basically non-existent and they made a huge 'progress'

this list nicely summarizes what's on the plate when it comes to fighting back (and there is more :|)

Bypass that crap is 80% mindset, 20% technical.
