According to the Salt Lake Tribune, 23 year old Joshua Lee Campbell called police late in the evening on 12 August claiming that a man had drugged him and stolen his .45 calibre automatic, using it to shoot RANLife Home Loans' $100,000 server.
However, Campbell's associates are understood to have told the police that in fact, earlier that night he was drunk, armed and threatening to shoot the server himself.
He has now been charged with criminal mischief, carrying a dangerous weapon while under the influence, providing false information to police and public intoxication.
