Cyprus is a stable country for banking or not?

One of my friend just send me the below:


I have 5 customers who will paid me my invoice


2 off them send me reply today And said cyprus not ok


Not stable' situation become difficult every day


What you Can purpose


Wondering where he heard about this and why people are still afraid of banking in Cyprus, we have had several accounts there for at least 7 years, not a single issue at all so far 😕

There has been lot's and lot's of nonsense posted around forums all around about Cyprus and theiir bad banking. Fact is, I have been with 3 Cyprus banks, namely Piraeus, USB and Hellenic Bank for the last 6 years. Not a single issue at all. I think people read and believe to much on unrealiable information they suck up on forums like fraud boards talkgold.com where 90% are con's and th rest paid posters.

Still the banks are stable here. You don't have to worry that much they have even depositor insurance up to EUR 100,000 so if you don't have sums higher than this you don't have to worry about it at all.
