Hi

I am a crypto trader from Canada with a 8 figure net worth. Taxes have been paid for my gains so far. I would like to relocate in EU in a low tax environment. Ideally would like to spend 4-5 months in Europe,2-3 months in Miami and few months in Canada. Would a Spanish golden visa work if i didn't stay more than 180 days in Spain? Recommendation on private banking would also be appreciated

Hi, have you considered Cyprus?

You would get tax residence with the 60 day rule,‌ you would be deemed to be a non dom and therefore will enjoy a number‍ of benefits and tax incentives. It is worth considering.

EU is a deep communist organisation and the restrictions which are coming end of this‌ year will be the worst in the world

In principle yes but in reality maybe not. What‍ address will you put on bank accounts etc? Where will you claim to be tax resident to banks etc?

Anyway if you want to be poor then be a millionaire⁤ that moves to Spain.

I would suggest to look at Croatia's digital nomad visa combined with an offshore company.‌

In principle the same works in Luxembourg as they have no CFC legislation.... but Croatia‍ is cheaper and more interesting from a lifestyle perspective

If he is a crypto trader by profession (his main recurrent activity), Portugal will tax‍ his crypto.

If you like Spain, instead look into Gibraltar or Andorra as a base maybe, which‌ have much more favourable taxation.
Residency isn’t cheap but you have a high enough legit‍ net worth to finance it.
