I'm looking for guidance on setting up a business structure for my online consulting business. I'm currently a resident of Thailand and after some research, I came across the following potential solution:

Setting up a US LLC, with ownership and management through another entity.


I'd like to hear your thoughts on setting up the management entity.
- Which jurisdictions should I consider?
- Do I need to hire any staff?
- What potential pitfalls should I avoid?

I'm also looking to hire someone with experience in setting up and managing this type of structure.

If you've set up a similar business structure or have expertise in international tax planning, I'd really appreciate your insights. Are there better jurisdictions or alternative setups that might be more effective?

I'm talking to many guys with residency in Thailand... and usually when I talk to these guys, they tell me their tax consultants made them incorporate a Hong Kong LTD instead of a US LLC.

There is a specific reason why getting a HK LTD is better than a US LLC with a Thai tax residency?

Why do you want an entity to hold the LLC? As far as I know, if an entity owns an LLC, you probably must pay foreign company taxes

A holding company gives you an additional layer of privacy and if set up well it can also help reduce your tax burden.
