What does even an associate membership in the EU means?
And what is the point, when we already have free trade agreements with Canada, yet still 80% of their trade is happening with the US.

The only thing this might achieve is 5 million Indians will get easier travel access to the EU. :banghead:

Either Europe will be ruined further by the millions of “Canadians” (or Canadians) coming in, or Canada will be ruined by all of the “Europeans” (or Europeans) coming in. I’m sure Canada’s tech wages that are on average about 80% of those in the US will fall to the level of Europe’s, which are about 30-40%.

Well one reason for that major difference is that the European salaries are taxed at like 30-50% on the employer super-gross level, so Europeans don't see the amount that's being spent paying the government to allow them to the be paid 🙂
