Most offshore companies can't be registered for VAT because they are outside of the EU (European Union) which is a requirement in order to register for VAT. VAT = Europe only!

A Cyprus company can for instant be considered offshore and can be registered for VAT, depending of the status of the Cyprus company, i.e. non resident or resident.

If you need to be registered for VAT you will know why we are asking about it. VAT is important for EU countries and businesses within the EU.

Only EU I learned todat. You can invoice a EU company without VAT if it is done from for instant a Seychelles company!

This was actually a great hint. We need to establish a Offshore holding company not in the EU and a EU company for contracting with service providers only.
