Bitcoin Volatility

How do you manage the volatility of your bitcoins? I've been watching exchange rates for a while and it just seems way too high risk for anything large scale. The last month alone it has swung between approximately US$750 to US$1150. If you received bitcoins at the peak and paid bills in USD a week later you would lose 30%+. I understand if you operate entirely in bitcoin but I don't see many being able to do this? I'm interested to see how you handle these swings.

I have been trading bitcoins with kraken since the beginning of this months. I sell and buy bitcoins on a daily basis making small margin profits. But I don't use them as a payment method yet for any of my services because of the same reason as you mentioned.

On the other hand if you look at the bitcoin ~ USD rate of the last 12 months you can see that the rate is rising all time. What you have seen in with the huge peak of 1150 was unique and I don't believe it to happen again so fast.
