Best account for US citizen?

I would like to know which countrys bank account are recommended for a citizen of the USA.


Many countrys/banks are refusing accounts to US citizens because of regulation. I think I should open one before it becomes impossible!


I am not looking to avoid taxes, but would like to have something in case things go totally crazy here. I would like something with low carrying costs so that I can put a few thousand $$$ in and forget it,


leaving it in case things go nuts.


I will keep the balance below 10k.


I prefer in my own name so that there is no risk of someone walking off with the ownership of a corporation.

You can at any time open a bank account in Cyprus either private or corporate account. There are no restrictions. Some incorporate a Seychelles corp. first and then apply for a corporate bank account afterwards.
