During the year 2024 Bankera constantly asked me for additional documents and explanations for all‌ transactions, irrespective of the amount. I patiently answered all the questions and provided all the‍ necessary documents. You plan to send a couple of euros and think it should be⁠ almost instantaneous, but then you spend a whole week on correspondence. I can still understand⁤ when it is a large amount, but when you are asked about all transactions without⁣ exception. Moreover, after a while they started asking repeated questions about transactions that I had⁢ already informed them about in detail. So by the middle of 2024, I stopped using︀ their services of my own free will.
But in January 2025 I received an e-mail︁ from Bankera asking me to explain in detail and provide documents on transactions made in︂ 2024. As you remember above I have already answered these questions for the whole 2024.︃ Can you explain to me if these are real people working there or is it︄ AI that generates such requests to clients?
Or is their goal just to get rid︅ of all clients.
I can't find any logic to this nonsense.

From my experience, sometimes it helps to threaten them with a complaint to the regulator.‌
I had an issue with a European bank some time ago. They froze a mid-5-figure‍ amount and asked for additional KYC documents.
I provided everything, but after every round, they⁠ requested more documents.

I then told them: "Look, I have given you everything you have⁤ asked for, time and time again. But every time, you come up with something new.⁣ I don't want to do business with your stupid bank anymore. You can close my⁢ account, I don't care. But if you haven't released my money by the end of︀ the week, I will file a complaint with the regulator."
2 days later, my funds︁ were released and my account is still open until this day.

Fortunately I withdrew all funds from Bankera back in mid 2024. You realise the︃ problem is not that I can't answer their questions. The most valuable resource is time.︄ They pretend to work while the real sharks probably swim by. Of course, I don't︅ want to work with such a bank. I asked them to close my account, explaining︆ that I was tired of answering the same questions over and over again.
