I am. But I have found a way to overcome my fears. Of course, I am not talking about credit card debts. I had this one from Standard Chartered Bank, and they charged me some joining fee as well. They told me it was one time payment and I would never be asked to pay any more charges. I believed them. lol. About four years later they sent me a communication saying that since I had not used the card they were going to cancel it unless I paid another sum of whatever amount. Of course, I told them to go to hell. I cant help feeling cheated though. Especially since I planned to go out of country and that card was really elegant to look at. Makes me wonder if Stanchart would have felt better had I filed an insolvency petition with some credit outstanding.
