I was hoping to get some advice / feedback for company setup.
I currently reside in Japan and am planning to set up a company in Singapore, then pay any after tax profits to myself in Japan via dividends then pay appropriate dividend income tax in Japan.
The business idea is to create a market place for digital contents which facilitate direct-to-fan transactions between content creators and fans.
1. As I understand, I will have to collect VAT tax from the fans that purchase the contents based on the location of the purchaser then remit this to each country. This seems like quite a burdening process considering both expected users (creators and fans) are located across the world.︀ Is there an existing third party service I can integrate to automate this process?
2. Are there any other taxes I will need to worry about besides VAT, tax on︁ profits made by the platform (which will be % of revenues made by the creators),︂ tax on dividends paid to myself from the company
Any other advice for factors to︃ consider from the infrastructure perspective?
