I am really surprised to know how the regional banks in US has been virtually named as real estate bank now? How all the smaller banks committed the same mistake through excessive lending in real estate sectors. These smaller banks should never be taken as granted that they had not diversified their lending or business through selling of stocks and bonds etc. like bigger banks. To me it is just the case of operational deficiency on part of smaller banks in US.
